While travelling to Earth to join the Science Police, Saturn Girl overheard the thoughts of two men who were planning to kill R.J. Brande. Upon alerting her fellow passengers to the danger, two of them (Garth Ranzz of Winath and Rokk Krinn of Braal) disarmed the assassins, thus spoiling the attempt. So impressed was Brande that he decided to fund an organization for the three teens, calling it The Legion of Super-Heroes. Saturn Girl is currently married to fellow Legionnaire, Lightning Lad.
